Amy is a native Washingtonian, born and raised in America’s Vancouver.  Her first campaign memories were knocking doors for her dad, Paul Harris, Washington State Legislator, 17th District, when he was running for Evergreen School Board in 1994.

After graduating college and living abroad, Amy moved to Washington DC in 2011 for a job in Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers Congressional office.  It quickly became apparent to her, and everyone she worked with, that her preference was the political side as opposed to working in Congress (go figure!)  After her time on the Hill, she started working for the DC fundraising firm, Bogart Associates.  At Bogart she helped in the efforts behind Steve Stivers (OH-15) to become NRCC Chairman and Ed Royce (CA-39) to assume Chairman of Foreign Affairs.  She also signed her first client, then candidate, now Congressman Dan Newhouse (WA-04).

Amy went on to start her firm, Red Strategies LLC in November of 2016, with Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler (WA-03), Congressman John Curtis (UT-03) and Candidate Dino Rossi (WA-08) among her first clients.

The Pacific Northwest and promoting pragmatic ideas, right of center and business minded candidates were the driving passions behind this endeavor.  The yearning to be back in the Northwest only increased over her seven years in DC and in July 2018 she happily moved west and dove into Washington State campaign work.
